My Review

“When Two Hearts Meet” by Janelle Mowery is the third and final book of her 'Colorado Runaway Series' and well I have to say that the series is wrongly named for it should have been called, “Think You Know What is Going to Happen, You Haven't Seen Anything Yet” or “Think You Know Who Did It, Think Again” series. I have to say that I so thoroughly enjoyed the whole series that it was so hard to put the book down just to go to sleep, for I wanted to know what was going to happen next.

I have to say that this book is again full of action, humor, and sweet, tender romance. This book is a lot like the last two books, “When All My Dreams Come True” and “When Love Gets in the Way”, and the best part is that this book is NOTHING like the other books at the same time. When I say that this book is a lot like the prior two books it because there is the same “Who Is The Villain” game that is played in the other books, along with plenty of laughter from the humor, and even a few tears were shed. Also it seems that the heroine of this story, like the others, facing some very trying times with trouble following her. Where it is not like the others, is the whole story-line, for trouble didn't exactly follow Rachel as it did with the prior heroine's, then there is the romance and the way THAT didn't follow any reasonable path, and exactly how often people were getting hurt.

We see prior characters just briefly here and there, we meet prior very minor characters who have bigger roles, and a whole new batch of completely new characters. Nevertheless things are so intense with all that is going on in the book, I just had to keep turning the pages for I couldn't put the book down for any reason, especially since I knew it was the last book of the series. I really wished that there were more books coming, but then again that is okay for I know all good things must come to an end. I will be looking for more books by Ms. Mowery, since the library really just have this series.

As I said before, there is the game once again called, “Who Is The Villain?” that is being played for there is the hint towards one person, then another, then maybe a third and once the villain or villains are revealed it is quite a twist. I don't care about cat and mouse games like what was played in this series, but yet with this series it was done in such a way that I just loved it.

Luke Mason is a man who is determined to do his job while protecting those around town. Luke is a man who cares deeply for his family that much is seen even if he doesn't want anyone to see it. He does some issues to work on that is for sure, and maybe a little hardheaded at times, but he is not a lost cause that is for sure.

Rachel Garrett is a woman who only wants to help in anyway that she can which is why she became a nurse. Almost from the moment she stepped off the stage in town she is on the go helping others in one way or another. She works well with children and loves them as if they were her own, but then again she works well with anyone of any age. Her courage is unbelievable as well, but she doesn't take stupid chances either. She also has a seriously playful side to her as well that is seen several times throughout the book.

I was hooked the minute I picked up this book and found it so hard to put down and I hope all who read this book and series find the enjoyment that I got from it as well.

“When All My Dreams Come True” by Janelle Mowery is the first book in her 'Colorado Runaway' series and the first book I have read by Ms. Mowery. I have to say I can't wait to dig into the rest of the series in the next day or so for I just couldn't put the book down. This is a book that I have picked up one other time before at the library but time ran out before I read it so I picked it up again when I needed more reading material, and now I am completely kicking myself for not making time before. I was laughing, crying, and beyond frustrated with the story-line (in a good way).

This story has so much action that once things seem to slow down some, something else pops up. At the beginning I suspected one person to being the villain, then it seemed as if things were pointing to someone else, and then another person popped up on the villain radar. Now who the villain is I am not going to say, but I am going to say that there are a lot of leads that kept me guessing right up until the villain was revealed. The action like I have said is just constant and not often do I like action packed stories like this one, but this one I loved the way it all came together. Though it was a lot it really seemed to work so well in the story because of how it is used, and at the same time there are down times where our hero and heroine get to know each other and others.

Here is Bobbie McIntyre who is trying to do what she needs to do in order to be able to run her own ranch, and she isn't afraid of work. She is not a typical 1872 woman for she is more comfortable around men with her wearing mens pants than a dress, but she is quite comfortable how she is. Her heart is soft and tender, though she hides it so that others don't know when their comments hurt. She is confident her in her work and is willing to prove herself in regards to her work. There are things that she wants in life though she is not fully sure what she is looking for other than fulfilling a dream.

Jace Kincaid is a young man with a lot on his shoulders without a doubt. Things are not going easy for him on the ranch, and he is willing to do anything to protect his property, his employees, and especially his loved ones, well almost anything. After all he has faced and is facing, his faith is strong and barely waivers, which is a positive influence of Christ's love. Please don't me wrong this man has his flaws for he is short tempered at times, and most time has a reason for his short temper, and a few other perfectly human flaws.

There is a wonderful surprise of humor sprinkled liberally throughout the story that had me laughing out loud at numerous times. I really didn't expect the type of humor but it really made the whole book that much better. Maybe the humor was a way to break up all the tense moments that are part of the book, and if that is the case it really worked to do that as well as show a little more depth to the character or characters who show this humor and in the ways they do. Honestly it was the humor that had kept me into the book when I was getting frustrated with the whole “Who is the Villain?” story-line. That “Who is the Villain?” story-line just wasn't following a line of thought like I wanted it too, so I needed a stress relief myself which the humor provided quite nicely.

There were scenes that had me in tears aching for the one who was involved. I understand that these things really did go along with what was going on, I didn't care for them at all. There are some descriptive scenes but they have such huge parts to play in one of the characters life so I understood the scenes, I just didn't care for them. Well I guess they were great for showing that regardless what bad happens in life, there is always some good that comes out of it, for good does come out of it without a doubt, and the readers don't have to wait until the very end of the book to see the good.

Overall I really enjoyed the book and I am looking forward to reading the next books in the series. I hope that everyone who reads this book enjoys it as much as I have.

“When Love Gets in the Way” by Janelle Mowery is the second book in her 'Colorado Runaway Series' and just as attention grabbing as the first book “When All My Dreams Come True”. We again meet all several of the characters from “When All My Dreams Come True” as well as several new characters. This story is about Cade Ramsey who we did meet in the first book, and there learned a little about his past history. It is not important to have read the first book, for the important information is repeated in a different way so that the reader is kept up-to-date on what is needed.

Here is another book full of humor but in a completely different way then the first book. Here I found myself laughing on a regular basis because of actions not so much because of words said, and most times it was completely unintentional as well. This laughter again it appears was used to help diffuse the tension that the villains caused, not to mention it gave some really good ideas into the various characters personalities.

The villain or villains of the story is again not quite what is to be expected. Alright in full disclosure one villain is easy to see for this character gave me the creeps from the moment that they were introduced, but just how much of a villain though is one question I wondered throughout the whole story. Then there is direction towards to others who may or may not be a villain as well, so this reader was left wondering who really is causing all the problems and who wasn't. The twists and turns that this took is amazing and surprising for that was one of the reasons I just couldn't put the book down.

Cade Ramsey is a man that has a soft and tender heart for people and animals, not to mention he is a man of strong faith. He is willing to do what he thinks is right, regardless what other might think. He fights to protect those around who are in need, and is always there with a willing hand whenever he is needed. He is a man who is trying to get over the past for things haven't been easy for him, but he is willing to work on it.

Grace Bradley is a woman who just wants to do what she would like to do without someone else telling her what to do, but also knows when she has to give in at the moment, while she tries to figure out another way to get through things. There are some very good reasons why she has left like she did to hide away in Cade Ramsey's wagon, and she has reasons for everything else she does. Grace may not be the most graceful person around at least one person, but her heart is pure gold that is for sure, and she learns a few important lessons on this journey of hers.

The way the whole story is told, with things moving swiftly both in things happening and time wise, it is easy to get lost in the book. There is not the same level of violence that was seen a couple of times in “When All My Dreams Come True” but all the goings on is just as unsettling as well. Everything that is happening is a background kind of thing, yet serves the purpose. I found myself unable to put the book down, for I was laughing, cringing, and a few time crying. The characters are all so well written it was as if I was visiting some good friends, and I felt for them as things happened, and rejoiced when good news came along the way.

I really hope that all who read this book enjoy it as much as I have that is for sure.
