My Review

“When Two Hearts Meet” by Janelle Mowery is the third and final book of her 'Colorado Runaway Series' and well I have to say that the series is wrongly named for it should have been called, “Think You Know What is Going to Happen, You Haven't Seen Anything Yet” or “Think You Know Who Did It, Think Again” series. I have to say that I so thoroughly enjoyed the whole series that it was so hard to put the book down just to go to sleep, for I wanted to know what was going to happen next.

I have to say that this book is again full of action, humor, and sweet, tender romance. This book is a lot like the last two books, “When All My Dreams Come True” and “When Love Gets in the Way”, and the best part is that this book is NOTHING like the other books at the same time. When I say that this book is a lot like the prior two books it because there is the same “Who Is The Villain” game that is played in the other books, along with plenty of laughter from the humor, and even a few tears were shed. Also it seems that the heroine of this story, like the others, facing some very trying times with trouble following her. Where it is not like the others, is the whole story-line, for trouble didn't exactly follow Rachel as it did with the prior heroine's, then there is the romance and the way THAT didn't follow any reasonable path, and exactly how often people were getting hurt.

We see prior characters just briefly here and there, we meet prior very minor characters who have bigger roles, and a whole new batch of completely new characters. Nevertheless things are so intense with all that is going on in the book, I just had to keep turning the pages for I couldn't put the book down for any reason, especially since I knew it was the last book of the series. I really wished that there were more books coming, but then again that is okay for I know all good things must come to an end. I will be looking for more books by Ms. Mowery, since the library really just have this series.

As I said before, there is the game once again called, “Who Is The Villain?” that is being played for there is the hint towards one person, then another, then maybe a third and once the villain or villains are revealed it is quite a twist. I don't care about cat and mouse games like what was played in this series, but yet with this series it was done in such a way that I just loved it.

Luke Mason is a man who is determined to do his job while protecting those around town. Luke is a man who cares deeply for his family that much is seen even if he doesn't want anyone to see it. He does some issues to work on that is for sure, and maybe a little hardheaded at times, but he is not a lost cause that is for sure.

Rachel Garrett is a woman who only wants to help in anyway that she can which is why she became a nurse. Almost from the moment she stepped off the stage in town she is on the go helping others in one way or another. She works well with children and loves them as if they were her own, but then again she works well with anyone of any age. Her courage is unbelievable as well, but she doesn't take stupid chances either. She also has a seriously playful side to her as well that is seen several times throughout the book.

I was hooked the minute I picked up this book and found it so hard to put down and I hope all who read this book and series find the enjoyment that I got from it as well.

“Joy in His Heart” by Kate Welsh is a book that has been out for sometime apparently, since November 2005, but I found and rescued this book at a yard sale this summer. I was glad that I found this book for frankly it had lead a pretty lonely life for it had been apparently purchased, then forgotten, never to have been read until I got my hands on it. Wow oh wow, this book is going to remain on my keep shelf that is for sure because of how good it was. This was also the first book by Ms. Welsh that I had read, and if I find anymore of her Love Inspired books, I will be reading those as well.

Here is a story that is full of anger, miscommunication, fighting in more ways then one, a lot of internal examination, regrets, success, and happiness. I cried at times because of what was going, I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know what going to happen next, and laughing at the humor that some may find to be at the wrong time but I thought that it was a decent tension breaker. I was drawn into the whole story from the first chapter for things with emotions and actions happen almost from the very start and didn't ease up until the end of the story.

Joy and Brian are not strangers to each other and wow what tension between the two. These two characters are so alike that no wonder they have some issues. Both are strong in their faith, strong in what they believe and do, determined that they know what is right, have large warm hearts for others, and are full of anger along with some hurt. Both Joy and Brian have worked hard to get where they are in their life and still have dreams for the future. Even with all those things that are so similar, there is even more for they are not willing to fully open up with each other to clear up misunderstanding.

I am not normally one for all the internal reflections of the past as this book as but this time around there was something that just spoke to me about all the revelations that were revealed in the book. Some of those revelations were age old issues that became pretty clear when mirrors where held up, but it was the way it was done that made everything so interesting.

Though the majority of the book took place over a very short week, it was a very intense week with all that had to happen to survive. Things were not easy in the slightest but at the same time the time together had been a real eye opener for several reasons. The past is brought up but then again it is down in a way that makes sense with the way the two are acting towards each other. There is even a resolution, even if it wasn't exactly how I wanted it to go for there were a couple of twist and turns there at the end. The last little bit of the book moves fairly quickly with the space of time, but to me it didn't seem like it was rushed for it was just showing how both Joy and Brian were getting along after their accident.

I hope all who come across this book and read it, enjoys it as much as I did.
